Digital Fabric Lab

Refund Policy & SEO Ranking Guarantee

1. Our Commitment to Transparency and Client Protection

At Digital Fabric Lab, we believe that every business deserves clarity about the services it purchases, the results it can reasonably expect, and the financial commitments involved.

Whether you are investing in search engine optimization, website development, custom software, or digital marketing, you should understand how your payments are handled and what happens if agreed services or performance milestones are not delivered.

Our Refund Policy explains how Digital Fabric Lab manages cancellation requests, performance-linked SEO guarantees, refund eligibility, and payment-related concerns.

We believe professional service providers should be accountable for the commitments they make.

That is why certain qualifying SEO campaigns are offered with clearly documented ranking milestones, performance reviews, and contractual refund protections.

However, not every service involves identical deliverables or guarantees. Refund eligibility depends on the selected service, signed agreement, and applicable legal requirements.

Our goal is to establish fair expectations before work begins and maintain transparent communication throughout the client relationship.

2. Services Covered by This Refund Policy

This policy applies to services offered by Digital Fabric Lab, including:

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
  • Website design and development
  • Custom software and application development
  • Digital marketing and related services

Each service involves different delivery requirements, technical processes, project expenses, and timelines.

Accordingly, the refund conditions for an SEO retainer may differ from those governing website development or custom software projects.

The applicable written proposal, contract, or service agreement determines the specific commercial terms of each engagement.

Where an eligible client has received a written performance guarantee, that guarantee will be evaluated according to its documented conditions.

3. SEO Ranking Guarantee and Performance-Based Refund Policy

Digital Fabric Lab offers performance-linked ranking commitments for certain qualifying SEO campaigns.

These commitments are designed to establish measurable milestones rather than rely on broad promises about search engine performance.

SEO outcomes depend on several factors, including website quality, keyword competition, search intent, technical accessibility, content relevance, algorithm changes, and competitor activity.

For this reason, our guarantees apply only to the specifically agreed ranking targets and evaluation conditions.

3.1 Eligibility for the SEO Ranking Guarantee

Before entering a performance-linked SEO agreement, Digital Fabric Lab may evaluate:

  • The website's existing organic rankings
  • Technical SEO issues and indexing condition
  • Target keyword difficulty and competition
  • Website content and architecture
  • Search intent and local market conditions
  • Existing search visibility
  • Required implementation resources
  • Expected campaign timelines

Following the feasibility assessment, both parties agree on the target keywords, campaign duration, fees, ranking milestones, and relevant performance conditions.

Only campaigns that explicitly include a written performance guarantee qualify for the corresponding refund or milestone-based exit rights.

3.2 Initial 90-Day SEO Contract Commitment

Qualifying performance-linked SEO agreements begin with an initial commitment of 90 consecutive days.

The client must pay the agreed amount covering the initial 90-day service period according to the payment schedule stated in the contract.

During this period, Digital Fabric Lab carries out the agreed SEO activities, which may include technical optimization, keyword targeting, on-page improvements, content recommendations, internal linking, and search visibility monitoring.

The objective of the initial period is to implement the agreed campaign and assess progress against the first contractual performance milestone.

This initial commitment is subject to the cancellation and refund provisions contained in the signed agreement.

4. Milestone 1 – Day 90: Minimum 25% Keywords in Google Top 50

The first performance review takes place at the completion of the initial 90-day contract period.

Under the qualifying SEO guarantee, Digital Fabric Lab commits to achieving Google Top 50 organic rankings for at least 25% of the client-selected and mutually approved target keywords.

How the 25% Ranking Benchmark Works

Consider an SEO campaign targeting 40 keywords.

For this example, at least 10 of the 40 agreed keywords must achieve positions within Google's Top 50 at the Day-90 milestone.

The actual number of required qualifying keywords will be calculated from the approved keyword list in each contract.

4.1 Day-90 Success Condition

If Digital Fabric Lab achieves the required Top 50 rankings for at least 25% of the agreed target keywords at the Day-90 assessment, the first performance milestone is considered successful, subject to the ranking-verification conditions of the agreement.

Under the qualifying milestone-based agreement, the client commits to continuing the SEO engagement for the subsequent three months, covering Days 91–180.

The client must pay the applicable fees for that period according to the agreed payment schedule.

4.2 Day-90 Failure Condition

If Digital Fabric Lab fails to achieve Google Top 50 rankings for at least 25% of the approved target keywords within 90 days of contract commencement, the client has the right to terminate the qualifying agreement immediately.

No early-termination penalty or further contractual payment obligation will be imposed for exercising this specific milestone-based exit right.

This right applies when the documented Day-90 failure condition has been satisfied.

4.3 Does Failure at Day 90 Qualify for a Full Refund?

Not automatically.

Under the Top 50 Day-90 milestone described in this policy, failure to achieve the benchmark provides an eligible client with a penalty-free termination right.

It does not independently establish a full refund of the initial 90-day service fees.

Any separate refund entitlement must be expressly stated in the client's signed agreement or arise under applicable law.

This distinction is important because a right to discontinue future services is different from a right to recover amounts already paid.

5. Understanding the Difference Between Top 50 and First-Page Rankings

A Google Top 50 ranking guarantee is not the same as a first-page ranking guarantee.

These represent different search visibility milestones.

For the performance-linked Day-90 guarantee described here, the relevant benchmark is Google Top 50 for at least 25% of the approved target keywords.

The guarantee does not require those keywords to reach the first page within 90 days.

Any additional Top 10 or first-page commitment must be separately documented in the client's accepted agreement.

Google ranking positions can fluctuate, and search-result layouts vary. Therefore, ranking verification must follow the measurement conditions agreed by both parties.

6. How We Measure SEO Ranking Performance

Transparent performance evaluation is essential for a meaningful ranking guarantee.

Before campaign implementation, the parties should establish the keyword list, geographic targeting, measurement methodology, and relevant evaluation conditions.

6.1 Approved Target Keywords

The guarantee applies to the client-selected target keywords that have been reviewed and mutually approved in writing.

Keywords outside the agreed list are not automatically included in the performance calculation.

6.2 Search Location

Rankings may differ depending on location.

For example, a business targeting Lucknow may have different results from the same search performed in Mumbai.

Accordingly, performance should be measured for the geographic location specified in the agreement.

6.3 Google Organic Rankings

Unless otherwise specified, the guarantee concerns Google organic search rankings.

Paid advertisements, sponsored placements, and unrelated promotional listings do not count as organic ranking achievements.

Google Maps or Google Business Profile rankings should not be counted toward a website organic ranking milestone unless explicitly included in the agreement.

6.4 Ranking Verification

Relevant ranking records may include consistent third-party rank-tracking reports and other supporting Google search-performance data.

Google Search Console can provide valuable information about search visibility, but its average-position metric does not necessarily correspond to a fixed ranking position in an individual search result.

Where ranking evidence differs, the agreed verification method should determine the milestone assessment.

6.5 Performance Review Dates

The relevant milestone dates are calculated from the contractual commencement date.

Performance commitments will be assessed according to the agreement's stated review periods and measurement requirements.

7. Client Responsibilities and Guarantee Conditions

Successful SEO implementation requires cooperation between Digital Fabric Lab and the client.

During a qualifying campaign, the client may be required to provide the resources and approvals necessary for the agreed SEO activities.

These responsibilities may include:

  • Providing authorized website administration access
  • Granting required Google Search Console and analytics access
  • Sharing accurate business information
  • Reviewing essential content and technical recommendations
  • Providing necessary approvals within reasonable timeframes
  • Communicating significant website changes
  • Avoiding conflicting third-party SEO activities where restricted by the agreement
  • Maintaining the agreed payment schedule

Certain contracts restrict unauthorized structural changes or simultaneous SEO work by other providers where those activities could interfere with the agreed campaign.

If a client materially breaches an applicable cooperation obligation, the resulting circumstances may affect guarantee eligibility in accordance with the contract and law.

However, a client does not lose a valid contractual or statutory right merely by raising concerns, seeking clarification, or submitting a genuine complaint.

8. SEO Contract Cancellation and Early Termination

SEO campaigns covered by a fixed-term agreement require the parties to follow the applicable contractual commitments.

Cancellation During the Initial 90 Days

Where the agreement establishes a fixed initial 90-day commitment, a voluntary cancellation request during that period will be handled according to the accepted contract and applicable law.

The Day-90 performance exit provision does not automatically create an unrestricted cancellation right before the milestone date.

Cancellation at Day 90

If the agreed 25% Top 50 benchmark is not achieved at Day 90, the client may exercise the qualifying penalty-free termination right.

Where the benchmark is achieved, the continuation obligations stated in the agreement apply.

General Cancellation Requests

Clients wishing to terminate services should contact Digital Fabric Lab in writing.

The request should identify the relevant project, contract details, and requested termination date.

Cancellation requests are reviewed against the applicable agreement, completed work, payment obligations, and legal requirements.

9. Website Design and Development Refund Policy

Website design and development involve project-specific work that may include planning, user interface design, programming, content integration, testing, and deployment.

Unlike SEO retainers, website projects are generally evaluated against agreed deliverables and development stages.

Refund eligibility is governed by the relevant project proposal or development agreement.

9.1 Cancellation Before Development Begins

Where a client requests cancellation before substantial development has started, Digital Fabric Lab will review the request against the project's contractual terms.

The review may include any work already completed, committed resources, and approved third-party expenses.

9.2 Cancellation After Work Begins

Once development has begun, project-specific work may already have been performed.

Refund eligibility will depend on the accepted agreement, work completed, applicable milestones, and any documented cancellation provisions.

9.3 Website Delivery and Quality Concerns

If a delivered website materially differs from the agreed project scope, the client may report the concern for review.

Digital Fabric Lab will assess the issue against the approved requirements and applicable correction, acceptance, or refund provisions.

Additional features requested outside the agreed scope are not automatically considered defects in the original deliverables.

9.4 Domain, Hosting, and Other Third-Party Expenses

Domain registrations, hosting subscriptions, paid themes, premium plugins, software licences, and other third-party purchases may have independent refund restrictions.

Such expenses are subject to the applicable supplier's terms and the client's agreement.

10. Custom Software and Application Development Refund Policy

Custom software projects are built around specific technical and business requirements.

Depending on the project, development may include backend systems, APIs, databases, dashboards, user interfaces, integrations, automation, and deployment.

Refund requests are evaluated against the signed development agreement.

Relevant factors may include the approved scope, delivery milestones, completed work, reported defects, agreed revisions, and any applicable cancellation terms.

A change in business requirements does not automatically establish refund entitlement.

However, genuine concerns involving non-delivery or material differences from the agreed requirements may be submitted for review.

11. Digital Marketing and Other Service Refunds

Digital marketing services can involve creative work, strategy, campaign implementation, analytics, and ongoing optimization.

Commercial outcomes may depend on competition, market demand, advertising platforms, budgets, customer behaviour, and the client's sales process.

Unless the applicable written agreement provides a specific performance guarantee, a particular level of traffic, leads, conversions, or revenue is not automatically guaranteed.

Refund eligibility depends on the agreed services, contractual obligations, work delivered, and applicable legal requirements.

12. Payment Terms and Billing

Payments must be made according to the accepted proposal or agreement.

Different services may follow different billing arrangements, including advance payments or scheduled service fees.

Clients should verify the payment structure applicable to their selected package before confirming the engagement.

For qualifying SEO contracts, payment for the initial 90-day commitment and subsequent milestone-based periods must follow the agreed schedule.

Where a contract permits work suspension due to overdue payments, the applicable notice, grace period, and payment provisions will govern the process.

Fees and GST treatment will be reflected in the relevant quotation and invoice in accordance with applicable law.

13. Circumstances in Which Refunds May Be Considered

Digital Fabric Lab may review refund requests involving:

  • Failure to satisfy a qualifying written SEO performance guarantee
  • Non-delivery of agreed services
  • Material differences between agreed and delivered work
  • Duplicate or incorrect billing
  • Cancellation situations covered by a contractual refund clause
  • Mutually agreed financial settlements
  • Refund rights available under applicable law

Refund eligibility is determined by the circumstances and relevant contractual provisions.

The availability of a review does not necessarily mean that every request qualifies for a full refund.

14. Circumstances That May Affect Refund Eligibility

Depending on the agreement and applicable law, refund eligibility may be affected by:

  • Voluntary termination before a mandatory commitment period ends
  • Failure to meet expressly documented guarantee conditions
  • Material changes to approved project requirements
  • Unapproved changes that interfere with contracted SEO work
  • Failure to provide essential access or approvals
  • Conflicting third-party activities that breach contractual restrictions
  • Non-refundable third-party costs, where lawfully applicable

These circumstances will be assessed individually.

Nothing in this policy permits Digital Fabric Lab to disregard a valid refund obligation or rights available to clients under applicable Indian law.

15. How to Request a Refund

Clients who believe they qualify for a refund can submit a written request.

Step 1: Contact Digital Fabric Lab

Send an email to:

digitalfabriclab@gmail.com

Suggested subject: Refund Request – Business Name / Project Name

Step 2: Share the Required Information

Include:

  • Full name and business name
  • Registered contact details
  • Service or package purchased
  • Contract or invoice reference
  • Payment date and transaction reference
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Supporting documents, where applicable

Clients should not share passwords, OTPs, card PINs, or other sensitive authentication details.

Step 3: Contract and Performance Review

Our team will review the relevant agreement, payment information, service records, deliverables, and applicable performance conditions.

For SEO ranking guarantee claims, the assessment may include keyword rankings recorded at the contractual milestone.

Step 4: Refund Decision

Digital Fabric Lab will communicate the result of the review and explain any applicable contractual conditions.

Step 5: Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed according to the applicable agreement and legal requirements.

For qualifying Day-180 SEO refund claims, the initial contract amount will be refunded within seven business days following Day 180, as required by the applicable guarantee.

Banking or payment-provider settlement timelines may affect when the refunded amount becomes visible in the receiving account.

16. Refund Amount and Payment Method

The refund amount depends on the client's contractual entitlement.

For qualifying Day-180 SEO agreements containing the full-refund provision, the eligible refund covers the initial contract amount identified in the agreement.

It does not automatically include all renewal payments or independent third-party expenses.

Other refund requests may result in a full refund, partial refund, billing correction, or another appropriate remedy depending on the contract and applicable law.

Where practicable, approved refunds will be issued through the original payment method or another verified payment method agreed with the client.

17. Disputes and Further Review

Clients who disagree with a refund decision may request further review by contacting Digital Fabric Lab.

Relevant evidence can include the signed agreement, invoices, correspondence, ranking reports, or development delivery records.

We aim to assess concerns using documented facts and the commitments accepted by both parties.

Nothing in this policy restricts rights or remedies available under applicable Indian law.

18. Changes to This Refund Policy

Digital Fabric Lab may update this policy to reflect changes in service offerings, operational procedures, contractual structures, or legal requirements.

The Last Updated date will indicate the latest published revision.

Updates to this public policy do not automatically modify a client's existing signed agreement.

Any changes to contractual rights or obligations must follow the relevant agreement and applicable law.

19. Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, certain qualifying SEO agreements include a written performance-based refund guarantee. Eligibility depends on the selected package and accepted contractual terms.

Under the qualifying milestone-based agreement, at least 25% of the mutually approved target keywords must achieve Google Top 50 organic rankings within the initial 90-day period.

At least 10 of the 40 approved keywords must rank within Google's Top 50 to satisfy a 25% benchmark.

The qualifying client may terminate the agreement immediately without an early-termination penalty or further contractual payment obligation.

Not automatically. The specified Day-90 Top 50 failure condition provides a penalty-free exit right. A refund of previously paid fees requires an applicable separate refund provision or legal entitlement.

No. The Day-90 performance requirement described in this policy is Google Top 50 for at least 25% of the approved target keywords, not Google Top 10.

Under the qualifying agreement, the client continues the engagement for the next three months, covering Days 91–180, and pays the agreed fees for that period.

The initial campaign may involve a fixed 90-day contractual commitment. Early cancellation requests are handled according to the applicable contract and legal requirements.

Rankings can fluctuate. If a qualifying agreement includes a sustained-performance condition, the relevant milestone will be assessed using the approved benchmark and agreed measurement method.

Ranking performance is evaluated using the approved keyword list, target geography, measurement method, and milestone date stated in the agreement.

Not unless the signed agreement explicitly includes Google Maps or Google Business Profile rankings. The standard website organic ranking benchmark should not be confused with local map-pack positions.

A ranking guarantee does not automatically include a lead-generation or sales guarantee. Such outcomes are covered only if expressly included in the written agreement.

Certain agreements restrict conflicting third-party SEO activities. Whether such involvement affects eligibility depends on the actual contractual terms and circumstances.

Yes. A client can submit a refund request. Eligibility is evaluated against the project agreement, delivered work, relevant expenses, and legal obligations.

Advance payment terms and cancellation rights depend on the accepted development agreement. Any refund review considers contractual obligations, work completed, and applicable law.

These expenses may be subject to third-party supplier terms. Their refund treatment depends on the relevant service agreement and supplier rules.

Yes. Clients may raise concerns regarding non-delivery or incomplete contractual deliverables. Digital Fabric Lab will evaluate the matter against the approved scope, delivery records, and relevant obligations.

Clients should provide their business name, contract or invoice details, transaction reference, explanation of the concern, and relevant supporting evidence.

An update to this public policy does not automatically amend an existing agreement. Any contractual amendment must follow the signed agreement and applicable law.
